| Is there any tranny that would bolt on Scoupe GT????? I'm having some problems with changing gears at high revs so I'm planning to change this tranny. It would also be nice, that 5th gear is a little longer (for highway crusing) | |

| the tranny from beta engine will fit with some little modifications...there you won't have the gear change problem at high load...there are also some other 5. gears aviable... | |

Hey, tnx for the info... What mods exactly need to be done to fit beta tranny? What about axels? I can get tranny from 1.6 tiburon cheep, would that fit easily? | |

| you have to bore up some of the holes and 2 you have to relocate, the rest fit's also the axels fits...the most importend thing you have to bore the hole for the crankshaftsensor this hole must be accurate on the rigt position | |

| OK, so that means that the bell housings of alfa/beta gearboxes are same shape, only some holes are different? Would I need to change clutch also for beta? BTW is it possible to put beta gears in alfa housing? If they fit, that would be easier to do maybe? | |

| unfortunatley the beta gears wont fit the alpha housing....because of some good modification in the beata gearbox you could change the gaers without any problems...oh I forgot to mention that you have also to modify the holder for the garbox there you must weld and that you must use the beta hydrauic cylinder...if you use the 1.6 beta gearbox then you could use the alpha clutch as it is you only need the bearing form beta gearbox Here is a link to the German forum wehre I post some pcitures of my Alpha engine with the Beta gearbox " [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]" | |

| It dosen't look to complicated to swap beta tranny in. I've seen all your pictures and must say Love your brakes... My Scoupe was automatic also, and than I swaped manual, than I swaped turbo engine in also, but with t25 garrrett. Now I have made new exhaust manifold and will put gt2554r on it so we will see how it performs. | |

| my summer s-coupe is automatic with turbo engine but only the small t15 @1bar...my winter s-coupe (the fire red) is manual and also my 1/4 mile project car and my crashcar :-) the gt2554r sould be great and should come realy erlay...the swap is not very complicate the only thing that must be 100% perfect is the sensor | |
